Panicked at the thought

Unprepared and then caught

In a web of deceit

From which found no release

Captured in a web of lies

Leads to death and your demise

Always alert and on guard

Safety first a common chord

Never lightly is dismissed

Going down a long checklist

Feeling calmer I now recall

Never feeling quite as small

This is now and that was then

Never these paths cross again

          1. I totally agree. I hate just giving a like and disappearing. It’s always wonderful to tell the writer what you felt after reading their post.

  1. am so glad you visited my blog – especially as it’s led me to your great site – we have so much in common! writing, reading, cheesecake, cats… ????
