I love visiting Vesna as she has such a positive outlook on life and her photos are equally beautiful.  I began visiting quite by accident while searching (I’m always searching) for bloggers I haven’t been introduced to before.  I’m not sure at this point whether she found me or I her, but it’s been delightful all the same.  Please visit her blog and see the wonders unfold as you take a journey along with this delightful woman.

I am, as always, touched, humbled, delighted and pleased to be nominated for an award.  The sunshine award touched me very much as it comes as acceptance of the “who” I am.  I try to see the positive, upside, happiness that the world has to offer and most individuals in it.  That doesn’t mean I’m not a realist but that in every situation, I try to see something good that can come of it.  That often means doing the work and getting through the negative painful things that life can throw at you, but if you can remember there is sunshine out there, it keeps you focussed and it makes the journey less painful, at least for me that is how I have faced the crises, dilemnas and painful ordeals that have passed my way.  If in some part, something I write whether a poem or story, can assist another through a difficult patch, then I am proud and happy to do so.  I see I am in a class of very fine authors, several of whom I read.

I used to love photography and I was a very good photographer and it is indeed something I miss doing.  Therefore, I look in on as many “travellers” and others who post the beauty around them and so willingly share with all of us on the blogging community.  As the original armchair traveller, it is indeed precious to me as I am able to see other parts of the world I may not get to in this lifetime.  For that, I wish to thank all who share the wonders they witness in their travels.

And here are the questions that you need to answer:

  1. What are the goals for your blog?
  2. Do you have any unusual fears or phobias?
  3. What is one thing you hope to do in 2018?
  4. If you had the chance of a “do-over” in life, what would you do differently and why?
  5. If you could  keep only five possessions, what would they be?
  6. What does a perfect day look like to you?
  7. If you could have one magical power what would it be and why?
  8. What’s your favorite mythical creature?
  9. What hobbies do you have?
  10. What would be your dream holiday?
  11. What are the Top 3 ways you want to improve yourself?

The goals of my blog are to basically interact with as many other writers, poets, photographers and artists as I am capable of.  This can be a challenge as there are so many I love to visit and I may not get to all in one day, it can take me three days or more to visit all of you but I certainly try.

I have a fear stairs and falling down them so I’m always very careful when using them.

One thing I hope to do in 2018 is focus on being healthier and living a healthier lifestyle, whatever that may entail.

One do-over I would sincerely immediately embrace would be not giving up on myself and understanding it’s ok to take a personal day, do something special for myself and continuing to be physically active no matter how much shame and name calling and put-downs came my way.  I would fight harder for me! at an earlier age.  I wished I’d had that ability many years ago.

I don’t count people as posessions so I’d keep my family.  Having said that, I would keep things with sentimental value that someone special gave to me with love and affection – the peacock earrings (peacocks being my favourite thing), my exquisitely comfortable chair that releases pain, the blow-dryer my grand daughter bought me (after painstakingly making sure it wasn’t too heavy to list) the photos (both mine) and those of  my family, a treasure of our history together.

A perfect day for me, is interacting with my family whether that’s five minutes or hours.  It also entails interaction with friends with meaningful dialogue and that includes my daily visits here, to every blog I can manage as I’ve found an incredible community of people that are giving, caring, sharing, and have welcomed me with open arms and whom I would miss too much to comprehend should I not be able to chat with you all and visit you.

If I could have one magical power, it would be healing.  Much suffering emotionally mentally physically happens on a world-wide scale.  I’d hold the hands of those that required support while dealing with the pain in their world.

I don’t have a favourite mythical creature but I guess I’d have to say I enjoy the unicorn.

I haven’t any hobbies at the moment, due to the condition of my eyes, but I used to make jewelry, take photos, paint, draw, knit and crochet.

My dream holiday would be sitting on a beach with room service and enjoying the view of sandy beaches and warm tides while reading plenty of books.

The top three ways I want to improve myself hmmmm let’s see…probably physical ability and strength, being more patient and kind with myself, not taking myself for granted.  Sounds pretty self-centered but I really need to put myself first more.  Having grown up in a culture where you put everyone else first and yourself last, I tend to neglect my needs and that’s something I want to change.

Thank you, Vesna for the thought provoking questions, which were excellent and a lovely way to share some of what I have on my mind (at the moment anyway- who knows it could all change tomorrow) snicker snicker.

Please visit Vesna’s blog as it’s informative, beautiful and offers something for everyone in it’s beauty.

I too wish to thank those that follow my blog, drop by take a look and offer comments and sometimes chat.  It’s a very personal part of my day, one I take great delight in.

There are many I would wish to add to this list of fine companions.  Some I won’t list as they don’t participate (you know who you are) hehe.

Following are a few of the many bloggers I find stimulating, positive, upbeat and usually with something special to say and share.  She shares so much with but a few words, yet conveys depth and meaning in everything she writes.   Sarah is an incredible writer willingly openly sharing the depth of her soul valiantly and with touching candour.  Always positive and willing to share, a delight to read.  Her delightful storytelling is a joy and I’ve learned much I can use in my daily life.  Thank you so much.  A wonderful woman who consistantly shares her positive upbeat attitude no matter what her personal life may be throwing  at her.  A complete delight.  Sumy touches my very soul with her captivating writing and photography.   A pleasure to know, who constantly delights with her touching thoughts, sharing and abilities whether through good or bad times though busy stops to share a moment in verse rhyme or story.  Mr. Chuck, who always has something positive to say and whose writing is superb and whose company I enjoy. His willingness to share his photography and trips a constant pleasure.  With though provoking shares, a complete delight to read.  Lovingly shares her art with the world, and it’s spectacular and reminds me of my grand mothers art and some of mine. Please take a look.  Artfully tastefully presented, a must see for sure.

Take care and enjoy the remainder of your day.  May you always find sunshine and joy for moments every day.

    1. Oh, thank you, Marilyn, very much. I was completely touched at the honour. I would have placed your name at the top of the list, but I know you don’t often participate, at least I believe that is so…I talk with many and some do and some don’t I get confused about this sometimes, especially when I have to come up with name on the spur of the moment. lol.

    1. It is. Your thought provoking questions had me digging deep. Not that I didn’t know the answers, but a feeling of taking and holding a breath before answering…as if this was indeed a momentous moment. And it was 🙂

    2. I only not realized that I forgot to add questions so I’m hoping those that were listed use the ones you provided. duh, They are great questions. I’ve already been informed by one nominee she’s declined. That’s ok too, it is voluntary.

      1. Yes, if they want accept, but it is an honor and most of the bloggers like it. If you like to add questions you can edit.
