From the day they’d met

She’d been his Juliet

Days weeks months passed

He’d made her his at last

He lived to make her laugh

Capturing her in photographs

All through the passage of time

Their life together sublime

More than he’d imagined

She a constant companion

Though a wrinkle or two

Appeared nothing could undue

The beauty that shone from within

As silently he watched and grinned
