A huge thank you to englepip for nominating me for this wonderful award.  It’s always heartwarming that what you write whether poetry or prose has touched another’s life and or interest.

I really enjoy englepip’s blog and find him compelling.  I enjoy his take on the world as well as his daily exploits and how they effect all of us one way or another.  I like that he speaks his mind on difficult subjects as well.  Please visit him at https://englepip.wordpress.com/ and enjoy for yourself.  You will be pleased you did.

11 Questions for my Nominees:

1. When and why did you start your blog?

I started my blog when my son brought it to my attention.  I’d heard about blogs through comedic responses but had no idea what they entailed.  One day I took the bull by the horns, he showed me what and where to go and I have quite literally never looked back.  It has been one of the greatest gifts he could have given me as I’ve (through my blog) met inspiring individuals interested in learning, growing and sharing their experiences and daily lives as well as interacting.

I can’t honestly say anyone has.  I look at each given situation (usually from all sides) and make a decision based on what I believe is the right decision for me, so I can’t say anyone influenced me that much.

3. Where have you spent most of your life and what is good/ bad about living there?

I’ve lived 30 years on Vancouver Island.  I love how magnificently beautiful and untouched it is.  There are vast areas to hike, camp, swim and explore.  Living on the North end of the island was exquisite but “you could see the ends of the earth” from there (figuratively of course).  It was 6 hours from where I live now and much of that travel was over logging roads and later highway.  It’s remote but a small community.  It was a great place to raise a family (you knew what they were doing and with whom) before they got home (which wasn’t wonderful in their eyes I’m sure) but I didn’t have to worry about police tape around the school my kids were attending as had happened in Vancouver.  If you are older and in need of medical attention, not so great, it’s a long way to travel to for appointments.

4.What is your favourite food and what makes it so special for you?

I love fruit and vegetables.  I grew up in the Okanagan where fruit was plentify, literally picking it off the trees to eat.  I love the freshness they add.

5. If you could do something for the world what would it be?

I’d wish to influence the thinking of people in power to care more about the environment and the people of the world, wherever they live,  in making ALL lives better equal without the use of money.

6. What is your favourite film and who did you see it with?

My favourite film was “When Harry Met Sally” or perhaps “With Six You Get Egg Rolls” , the original because I love to laugh and humour is (to my way of thinking) as valuable as love in bringing enjoyment on a daily basis.

7.What would  be your favourite holiday?

I love New Years (it’s for adults). Ushering in the promise of a new year with vitality and excitement.

8. If you could have your life again what is one thing you might you do differently?

One thing I’d do differently would be to continue with yoga and not stop (I was introduced as a young child) and not take the job that destroyed my eyesight, that’s a given.

9. If you could meet anyone from the present or from history, who would it be and why?

I’d love to sit and chat with Albert Einstein.  He’s a fascinating man and I can only imagine how intersting a coversation might be with him.

10.How much time a week do you reckon you spend using the internet? (Include time spent using internet at work, please.)

I am retired, so I no longer work.  I spend probably 12 to 15 hours a day (x7) on the internet (on my blog, reading other blogs, researching and sometimes playing games) so about 100 hours (maybe more maybe less) but thereabout.

11. If you had three things to do or achieve,  on a bucket list, what would they be and why?

One thing I’d like to achieve is getting out and about on a regular basis to see and enjoy people watching (something I truly love).

Knowing I’d made a difference in someone else’s life (hopefully for the positive) that would inspire them to greater things.

I hope I’ll be enjoying life and seeing my first great grandchild whenever that happens (years from now).

Thank you for nominating me.  It’s indeed a treasure.  I enjoy the liebster award as it gives you a wonderful opportunity at incite into others thoughts, dreams, and hopes.

I wished I could nominate 11 people, but many I follow no longer accept awards.  I will nominate as many as I know might and hope they accept.

Welcome to CimmerianSentiment

A marvelous writer adept at conveying character and making her characters come to life.  She’s forthright aknowledging some of her work may not be for everyone (graphic in nature) and the stories that aren’t.  Her writing continually excites me as she adds such depth and interest in each one.

      1. Unfortunately I don’t post anything but stories on my blog. I can email the responses to you if you want. I will check out the other blogs, but out of respect I wont comment or follow new blog’s unless they follow me first. Not because I don’t want to or because I’m “follow greedy” but because like you mentioned some of my content in QDSS and SSS are sexually graphic and may be offensive. The romantic chapter stories are less graphic volume-wise and focus more on romance, but still it may cross a line some are uncomfortable with. My goal is not to offend but to entertain. I have some followers that don’t want to be followed by me and I can respect that.

  1. Thank you for nominating me❤ I had completely forgotten about the award. I’ll be posting my replies etc. Asap. I hadn’t realised you were taking part in the atoz. You’ve posted some lovely flash fiction:)
