Looking back he couldn’t remember when

They hadn’t been friends all four and grin

At all the antics they’d pulled together

Silly pranks or chasing girls, whatever

Time had moved on they’d lived their lives

Many of them had children and wives

Though their lives were different now

Gathering together once a year their vow

Their time now consisted of stories

About when they were younger, the glory

Hitting the highlights and some lows

Together they’d stood through the blows

A timeless friendship far beyond

Any they’d expected had spawned
