Enough to make her stomach churn

Excitement at the impending return

Of her loved one, long parted from

Their song in her mind did hum

As she eagerly waited on the dock

Hands rolling slowly round the clock

His safe return all she cared about

As the rest of their life played out

Filled with humorous stories aplenty

For a  lifetime of memories so ready

They could enjoy at their leisure

Filling their life with much pleasure
