That was Sherry.  Full of delightful surprises.  She kept life interesting and vital.  “Your obviously excited and eager to begin.”

“I am, Randal.  It’s a dream come true.  I’ve wavered for over a year because it’s a huge commitment and gamble as well, but I believe it’s time. “

“This is indeed a day for celebration.”  Walking to the cupboard, Randall pulled out a bottle of Champaigne, poured two glasses and handed one to Sherry.  “Congratulations, lovely one.”

Sherry smiled amid a glow of happiness, then added, “I’m in love with you, Randal.  I’m as sure of it as the day I was born.”

Setting his glass down, and taking her from unresisting hands, he looked lovingly into her eyes, “As I am with you.” Wrapping her up in his arms he kissed her lingeringly then with lustful intensity.  All else was momentarily forgotten as their need for each other took over.

Later, sated and relaxed Randal pulled her close, “Whatever you need, Sherry, I’m there, every step of the way.”

“I’ll hold you to that, handsome!”

Neither heard the hologram’s insistent jingle once again lost in sensual pleasure.

  1. (Boo, my original comment didn’t show up. I’ll try again.) What lovely characters you’ve set up, the story is intriguing and I can’t wait for the next chapter.

    1. Thank you so much, Sheryl. I’m humbled, truly. I’m in love with these characters. It’s fly by the seat of my pants so I’m exceedingly touched that they are appealing 🙂
