I laughed with disregard
Waiting to play my card
Takes one to know one my thought
The telling moment oh so fraught
With angst anger excitement high
This was the moment do or die
I laid my royal flush down
Looking across at the clown
Emotions erupted he called me a cur
I laughed in his face, at the old slur
I’d won the game fair and square
Easing back into my deck chair
Standing tall I collecting my winnings
Humming a tune instead of singing
Until next time you old salty dog
As I hit the road on my mighty hog
