Awkward

He felt gauche and inept

So much so he hadn’t slept

Nothing in life as important

Than receiving an endorsement

From their design headquarters

This was huge with many orders

Placing his company on the map

Everything ready, no mishaps

Standing tall, presentation in hand

He made his pitch just as planned

Now it was a waiting game for sure

Hoping beyond hope he was secure

Oh how awkward he felt waiting

All his emotions were alternating

Decision made, now no going back

Perhaps he’d celebrate with cognac
