Fence

Oooh that fence stood so tall

The kitten it, did eyeball

Running left and then right

She knew it’d take all her might

But there was a nest up there

Sitting high atop in midair

What of those intriguing sounds

That her ears truly did confound

Peeking through she saw movement

Looking on with great amusement

At the joy and fun had over there

All she could do was sit and stare

Someone to play with sure there be

Instead of the solitary loneliness she

Endure daily, her people her ignored

As with things they were absorbed

Ah yes, grass is always greener they say

She’d give anything to find a throughway

It seemed like fun was had by one an all

To her precious kitty ears, a siren’s call
