Darkness – Alan’s Daily Post

As darkness fell, a hush claimed

Over all it suddenly reigned

A quiet solitude surrounded all

Everyone prayed there’d be no rainfall

Fireworks about to begin

Everywhere, an excited din

As children eagerly awaited

The sky soon illuminated

Brilliant colours filled the sky

Bursting so high, all surely satisfy

Shapes aplenty colours galore

As they erupted above the seashore

Darkness forgotten, in blasts of colour

The oohs and awes, no watercolour

A rainbow of reds blues and more

Laughter and delight, none ignored

Little eyes stared in such wonder

Amid the accompanying thunder

Bangs pops blasts filled the night

It was such a delightfully fun sight
