Phase Shift – Part 3 Page 163

Randal explained how phase shifting worked,  how he’d arrived in this time and space, detailing what it was like where he’d come from, what his life had been like there, so Sherry had a complete picture.

“Are you telling me your leaving?”  Sherry was too stunned to say much else.

“I’m telling you that is one possibility.  The other possibility is that I stay, here in this time, with you.”

“Is that possible?”

“Yes, it is.”

“Although I loved my other life, I love you more.  I want to stay here, with you.”

“I don’t know how to respond to that, Randal.  You know I love you, I’d give anything to have you with me forever and always.  I don’t know how to feel about this.  I wouldn’t want to be the one to deprive you of the existence you could be living were meant to be living.  You also don’t know how this will end, if you’ll suddenly phase shift out of existence.  Then your decision would be for nothing.”

“Never for nothing,” he responded quickly. “I love you and any sacrifice to be with you would be worthwhile, but I don’t consider this a sacrifice but a choice.”

“A choice?”  Sherry rose, “what kind of choice?  You stay, you could possibly disappear or die a prematurely old man.”

“Those are the outside possibilities and I mentioned them only to prepare you should such a thing happen, but I’m convinced as is Brenda and Vance that won’t happen.”
