The fellow was certainly no saint
He knew little about restraint
If observing social do’s and don’ts
Was the yardstick used to judge alone
He knew how to ham it up alright
Creating laughter well into the night
Yet he had a knack for putting one at ease
From your eyes tears of laughter squeeze
Until your cares and woes you had forgot
Even though some though him a crackpot
His love of life was strong and so pure
An air of delectable unresistable allure
Had you enthralled delightedly enrapt
Oh how I loved his ability to distract
One in a million you could forgive a lapse
Remembered forever with affection perhaps
