Brenda had to admit the reunion was everything he’d promised and more.  Sensuous, erotic, loving, gentle and passionate beyond measure.  Laying curled in his arms she whispered, “It’s good to be home.”  Vance hugged her close.

Much later, wrapped in bathrobes before a gently glowing holo-fire, wineglasses in hand after eating a heavenly dinner Brenda said, “It’s been wonderful, Vance, more than I could have dreamed of.”

“A special occasion deserves something extra special don’t you think?”

“Yes, indeed.”

“Ok, ask.  I know your mind is going a hundred miles per hour.”

“What’s got you bothered?”

“Campbell.”

“Yeah, I saw it too.  He fraken disappeared into thin air.”

“I can’t find a trace of him anywhere.  It’ll undoubtedly take Randal’s expertise to follow up.”

“Ah, I see.  You don’t know whether to tell him or not.”

“Yeah, in a nut shell.”

“Is he really happy, Brenda?”

Looking up into his eyes she responded gently, “Yes, I’ve never seen him this happy, not in years.  Maybe even before…”

“Then I can’t see telling him, he deserves someone special.”

“Will he stay, do you think?”

“I really don’t know, Vance.  There’s something in his eyes when he looks at Sherry, it’s more than lust or affection and way more than looking warmly at her.  There’s a depth there I’ve only witnessed once before.”  Placing her palm against his face she said, “It’s what I see in your eyes.”

“Then there’s no contest.  We don’t tell him.”
