I guess I’m eclectic. I love a variety whether it be in clothes, games, furniture, arrangements, music, art to experiences in life. What’s more I gladly wear the title eclectic since I love mixing things up.
Interestingly people love to pigeonhole you according to your age. It’s appropriate to wear these colours, these styles, this look because it’s “age appropriate”. I’ve noticed that people slot you into colours and styles of furniture or clothes directing you here and there. That’s not me.
I’ve never been one to follow the crowd and do as everyone else does. If a style works for me, I wear it, if the colour and style don’t work for me, regardless of how popular it is, I walk on by. I probably have a style (I like simple and elegant and simple equals elegant in my mind) but I love mixing things up and adding an element into a situation you might not otherwise do. I find that exciting and interesting because it creates tension and takes the situation from bland to vibrant.
I’ve been trying to move pictures here so you can see an example of what I mean. I’ve been playing around making jewelry. Yes, jewelry, purse jewelry which attaches to your purse or a zipper on either a purse or backpack. Although I can’t see and most of it is a guessing game, and I create according to feel, it has been exciting and interesting. My idea are – eclectic. As soon as I can figure out how, I’ll blog some pictures and you’ll see what I mean.
I hope you enjoy being eclectic too, it’s fun and creates nuances of delight, for me anyway 🙂
I have many more (sorry these are so dark) My grand daughter re-did them, but I can’t seem to forward them here. So for now this will have to do. Hope you enjoy.
