He sees her pain and sits

Nearby never calls it quits

As if she’s turned to stone

Healing she must do alone

He takes her hand in his

A gentle reminder, it is

Beside her every step of the way

His love runs deep, he’ll always stay

Though painful watching her suffer

For now, he acts as buffer

While showing her she’s loved

Patiently holding onto his beloved

His reassurance means worlds

The blanket of love he’s unfurled

Helps mend a broken heart

Offers healing in every part
