I’ve always loved learning, experiencing different ways to make that happen. I could have been a professional student, truth be told.
When I was a kid, I’d save every penny to buy comic books. You guessed it, Spike Lee featured hugely. I had every comic book printed for years. I was totally fascinated with the setup, the pictures and was completely entertained.
I read every Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books I could get my hands on, and any other mystery serious I could find. And my delight in mysteries continued to grow as years went by. Any book that contained a mystery was fair game.
I loved how the author’s mind worked and when it came to tv, it would drive everyone wild when I’d get up after five minutes and leave.
“Why are you leaving?”
“Because you don’t want me to ruin it for you, I know who did it!”
On many occasions, disbelievers wanted to know, so I told them. They were chagrined and frustrated not only because I’d figured it out and they hadn’t but because they knew about 3/4 of the way through I was right.
Mysteries have always fascinated me, I guess they always will! They are ageless, they are timeless, the good ones that is 🙂
