Another mild stone! My birthday yesterday, which was so enjoyable. It began with a pancake breakfast (lovely fluffy ones) and my granddaughter carved my age into it with chocolate, looked quite delightful.

As I stared at the age, 65, I thought, wow, I thought that number was ages away, and it is here in the blink of an eye. I also thought, better the numbers are going up than the alternative, lol. I said as much to my son, we had a good laugh about it.

We enjoyed a relaxing day and then they surprised me with a lovely dinner comprised of my favourite food and dessert. After which they surprised me with presents…again to my great delight, a set of pots and pans. I was over the moon, my first honest to god full set of brand new pots and pans. My first set was when I got married, and a couple sold me theirs as they were upgrading. They served me well, but it was definitely time for a new set as the old one had dwindled over the years.

More importantly, I enjoyed the company of all my grandkids and my son (my daughter had to work) and I was touched, that although their lives are busy with school and work and in the other work and work and the two little ones who are in school, that they were all eager to participate and be there to enjoy with me. It was touching and heartwarming I must say.

I wished I could provide pictures, but I am lousy at transferring from here to there and vice versa. They spent a great deal of time over the past few days in preparation and I can’t thank them enough! I had to let you in on a very special day.

March 8th is more than my birthday, International Women’s Day is dedicated to honouring the achievements of women throughout history and all across the globe, and is typically a day for women from all different backgrounds and cultures to band together to fight for gender parity and women’s rights. I don’t think of my birthday first, but the women were slain in Canada that are honoured in memory nationally on March 8th as International Women’s Day.

Thank you all for your support over the years. I enjoy your company so much, and your comments when you pop by. Take care all. And to those celebrating birthdays throughout the year, Happy Birthday and Many more! xoxo
