Sheryl’s Daily Prompt

Donald Grump was holier than thou, thought his shit didn’t stink and that his opinion was the only one that mattered. Therefore, he was contesting the will of Mrs. Granger, his grandmother because as he put it, “he was the rightful heir and the only person deserving of the estate in its entirety. ” He saw no reason to share and was contesting the will on the grounds his grandmother had been unduly influenced.

He didn’t stand a chance of winning; Mrs. Granger had every right to leave her estate to whomever she wished and Anita Gregson hadn’t even known about the will. She hadn’t been in contact with Mrs. Granger since she was a child.

She was a distant relative through a niece and Mrs. Granger felt the need to leave her a portion of the estate due to the ousting of that branch of the family by a relative with the same attitude as Donald Grump and therefore, she’d sought to set the matter right.

Mrs. Marsden, her lawyer, had wholeheartedly agreed, if only to give Donald Grump a difficult time since that was his only goal in life, making others squirm. It seemed fitting somehow.
